I want to requite you an opportunity to explore your creative self. Art journaling tin offer you a space for:

Each calendar week you will learn new fine art techniques, participate in cocky-reflection, and, if yous wish,  take part in sharing something you created with the class. The connections you build with classmates, your young man creatives who share your desire for a more creatively empowered life, are a huge part of what make Art Journey so special.

Yous will encourage and inspire one another,  acknowledging fright, forging ahead on your creative journey, and sharing your successes forth the fashion. Doesn't that sound great? I wish I had constitute something similar this when I was start discovering my artistic cocky. I desire to be a part of this magic for you. Don't we all need some more than magic in our lives?

Equally a fellow member of the Art Journey form and community, you tin:

ane. Larn techniques that raise your power to limited yourself artistically, and minimize fears that often arrive the way of your art.

2. Detect new ways to explore self and spirit through art and writing. We will reflect on the procedure of your art likewise as the images and symbols.

three. Connect with and be inspired by others who also want to plunge more securely into their soulful, artistic life.

Art Journeying is an experience .

Week 1: Creating a Playful Foundation –

Would you give yourself permission? Permission to play, to become messy, or to not make much of anything at all?  The fine art periodical is your playground.  Y'all can take chances, brand "mistakes," and say exactly how you feel. This is your fine art.

I want y'all to become curious about your creations, even the stuff you don't like. Art journaling tin teach you to live more imaginatively, openly, and joyfully.

In week one's class, we will experiment with art techniques that can help u.s. to both conquer the white page and our inner critic by simply playing with materials. Yous will be surprised by the beauty that emerges when yous release expectations. In your experience, what happens when you lot let get of your expectations?

Week ii: Letting Go of Fear: Playing with Prints and Stamps

Creating stamps is a great way to loosen upward and become playful in your art journal. We will learn ways to cut our own stamps and use plant objects. Y'all don't need to spend $viii for a stamp. With elementary materials, you can create a cute postage stamp. Isn't it funny how playfulness and marvel blackball fearfulness? How practice yous go playful in your art?

Week 3: Mixed Media Mayhem: Trusting the Epitome

Magazine photos tin can be a fabulous source of inspiration. Looking at images will allow yous to project ideas and concepts onto them, which volition launch the concept of a whole page.

You will experiment with layering special papers, gesso, paint, cloth, marker, and other materials to transform your folio into a completely unique image that expresses much more than than the original photo. You volition learn to have faith in the art making process, let go of expectations, and larn how to "go with the flow" through the art.

Calendar week 4: Doodling Around

Power doodle

Anybody knows how to doodle, right? If you can write, y'all can doodle.You lot will larn some very simple patterns using circles, lines, dots, and squares that will transform your page and ship your mind to a calmer place. If y'all need some more than ways to de-stress, whether in a  meeting, while waiting for a physician's appointment, or at abode in your art periodical, meditating through art is a dandy way calm your mind and torso. Have you had this experience making art before? Did you know that some scientists are at present studying this phenomenon of getting "in the zone" while making art? They telephone call the experience "flow." When is the last time you experienced flow?

Calendar week 5: Put Some Gratitude in Your Attitude

In the final week, we will explore doing some more than writing in your journal about what you appreciate – things that are beautiful, inspiring, lovely, or comforting.

Y'all will create pages that focus on what you lot love virtually yourself, others, and the earth. You will exist surprised at all the beauty that is already present when yous end to look for it. Have y'all e'er noticed that?

This will as well be an opportunity to put all of your skills together on the folio – building an interesting foundation, incorporating text, images, and stamps.

There are kids, bills, chores, television receiver episodes, house maintenance projects, all calling more than urgently than a painting or drawing. So how do you make yourself finally sit down downward and just do information technology?
